Digidentity’s Qualified Electronic Signatures (QES) prove the identity of the signatory and their acceptance of your document's contents. A QES is a qualified electronic signature backed by EU regulation and a qualified certificate that irrefutably identifies the signatory, protecting the document against tampering or forgery. Uniquely assigned to each signatory, a QES is as legally binding as a handwritten signature in the UK and across the EU.

The advanced electronic signature (AdES) is a digital signature that offers more secure, tamper proof solutions than other digital signatures.

While still uniquely assigned to an individual signatory, the burden of proof in legal cases lies with the signatory with AdES.

How QES works

Digidentity is a Qualified Trust Service Provider (QTSP) under the EU electronic Identification and Signature (eIDAS) regulation This means we are granted the right to deliver one or more qualified trust services after undergoing a strict assessment process. Digidentity is listed on the EU Trusted Lists

Once a person’s identity is on our identity platform, they can remotely use their digital identity to sign documents. The documents are linked to their identity via a qualified certificate and are protected from forgery and tampering.

To do this, we verify the signer’s identity with our biometric verification method and issue a digital certificate. All easy to do remotely in real time, saving you time and money.
